This section describes the camera’s functions.

“ ” Playback mode

Makes the image in the viewfinder easier to see. Set the dial to the position where the AF frame appears sharpest.

The exposure remains locked while this button is pressed.

Photometry selector dial

Selecting light metering method.

In Photography mode, turn the Command dial to select program shift and specify settings such as the shutter speed and aperture.

: Exposure compensation

Hold down the “ ” button and turn the Command dial to select the setting.

: Flash

Release the pop-up flash, hold down the “ ” button and turn the Command dial to select the setting.

: Continuous shooting

Hold down the “ ” button and turn the Command dial to select the setting.

Use the Power switch to select the mode.

Photo mode button

Photography: Select the quality mode, sensitivity and FinePix COLOR settings.

Playback: Specify the print order (DPOF) settings.

DISP/BACK button

DISP: Press this button to select the screen display.

BACK: Press this button to stop a procedure midway through.

EVF/LCD (monitor selector) button

Pressing the “EVF/LCD” button toggles between the viewfinder (EVF) and the LCD monitor. Use whichever mode is best suited to your shot.

Focus check button

Pressing this button enlarges the central portion of the screen. Use this to focus the image precisely.
