Using the Menus: Shooting Mode

TIMAGE QUALITY (defaults to N)

Choose how much image files are compressed.

Option	Description
FINE	Low compression. Select for higher image quality.
NORMAL	High compression. Select this option to store more pictures.
PFINEPIX COLOR		(defaults to <)
Enhance contrast and color saturation or take pictures in black and white.
Option	Description
cF-STANDARD	Standard contrast and saturation. Recommended in most situations.
aF-CHROME	Vivid contrast and color. Choose for vivid shots of flowers or enhanced greens
	and blues in landscapes.
bF-B&W	Take pictures in black and white.

RSettings other than cF-STANDARDare shown by an icon in the LCD monitor.

R Depending on the subject, the effects of a F-CHROMEmay not be visible in the LCD monitor.
