[Power saving mode] button

This specifies the power saving mode.

If this button is clicked, the following dialog box is displayed.

−Quick Start Mode

This mode keeps the lamp on regardless the scanner’s operating condition, which saves times for lamp to become steady.

−Low Power Mode

To save the power consumption, this mode turns the lamp off, if the scanner is not operated for 14 minutes.

* This button may not be displayed for some scanner models.

[Multifeed] button

Use this to specify multifeed detection area.

By default Multifeed Detection monitors paper overlap over the central column (width: 35

mm)of the document to be scanned. This will lead to mis-detection when the document is partially pasted with photographs or clippings.

When scanning these kinds of documents, you can specify an exact detection area to prevent mis-detection.

Click on the button and the following screen will appear.
