3.1 Flow of Operations

Turning the Scanner ON/OFF

ScanSnap can be turned on/off by:

Turning on/off the computer,

Opening/closing the paper chute of the scanner.

You do not have to turn on/off the scanner when it is connected to your computer.

Turning off your computer or closing the paper chute.

The Power lamp on the scanner goes off and the scanner is turned off.

Turning on your computer or opening the paper chute.

The Power lamp on the scanner illuminates and the scanner is turned on.

To turn off the scanner when the paper chute is open and the computer is turned on, press the [POWER] button on the scanner.

To turn off/on the scanner, press the [POWER] button for longer than one

*To prevent accidental misoperation, the scanner is not turned on/off unless the [POWER] button is pressed for longer than one second.
