13 Other maintenance functions

13.1 Viewing and up dating circuit breaker names

The HMI provides a tool to change the circuit breaker names corresponding to their location in
the switchgear.
To change the circuit breaker names
1. On the Main Menu, click the Main tenance button. The button will only be displayed if access
is allowed with the current login p ermissions.
2. Click the Breaker Names tab. A table will display as shown as in Figure13-1.

•Breaker ID: Unique identifier for the circuit breaker. This is set by GE and cannot be changed.
•Breaker Name: Unique name given to a circuit breaker (16 alphanumeric characters). This
may be set in the factory if in formation is provided from the cu stomer. Otherwise, it should
be updated for ease of use with selection boxes.
•Short Name: Unique short name given to a circuit breaker (8 alphanumeric characters). This
field is currently not used.
