Make sure oven is cool!
Open oven door, turn OVEN
SET knob to CLEAN. Push in
and advance STOP knob past
the time of day. Push in oven
interlock button (button is at
right top of the oven door
opening) and hold button in for
about 15seconds.
Next, turn OVEN SET knob to
OFF and again push in the oven
interiock button for about 15
seconds.
The latch finger, being rector
driven, will turn so the oven
door may be closed.

oven after cleaning?
A. Some types of soil wil! leave a
deposit which is ash. It can be re-
moved with adamp sponge or
cloth.
Q. MY oven shelves do not slide
easily. What is the matter?
A. After many cleanings, oven
shelves may become so clean they
do not slide easily. If you wish
shelves to SIide more easily,
dampen fingertips with asmall
amount of cooking oil and rub
lightly over sides of shelf where
they contact shelf supports.
Q. What should Ido if excessive
smoking occurs during cleaning.
A. This iscaused by excessive soil
and you should switch the OVEN
SET Knob to OFF. Open windows
to rid room of smoke. Allow the
oven to cool for at least one hour
before opening the door. Wipe up
the excess soil and reset the clean
cycle. If you experience aminor
smoking problem, try preheating
your oven for 5minutes before set-
ting your oven to clean.
