Digital Audio Output [DVD]

The digital audio output jack (labeled “Coaxial”) is used to output the audio signal recorded on DVD discs to an external amplifi er/receiver. The player provides three options for this audio signal:

SPDIF/PCM - Select if you are using a 2-channel digital amplifi er.

SPDIF/RAW - Select if you are using a Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS capable amplifi er.

Off - Select if you are not using the Coaxial audio output.

1Press Setup in Stop mode.

2Press / to select “Audio Setup”, then press

3Press / to select “Digital Out”, then press

/Select

Move Select SETUP: Quit

4Press / to select your preferred Digital Out setting.

5 Press /Select

WARNING:

Do not set “Digital Out” to “SPDIF/RAW” unless you are connecting the player to an A/V amplifi er/receiver with Dolby Digital (AC-3) decoding capability.

High volume sound may damage your hearing as well as the speakers.

To return to the Setup menu

Press

To exit the Setup menu

Press Setup or select “Exit Setup” on the Setup Menu screen.
