Initial Setup (Continued)

Disc Finalize

Finalizing a recordable disc ‘locks’ its recordings in place so the disc can be played on most standard DVD players or computers equipped with DVD-ROM drives. Finalizing a disc formatted in Video mode will automati- cally create a menu screen for navigating the disc. This menu screen is accessible by pressing DISC MENU/LIST or TITLE.

Caution

Once you have finalized a DVD-R disc, you cannot edit or record anything else on that disc. However, you can record and edit a DVD-RW disc by choosing Unfinalize.
