MotorWiring

To install the motor:

1.Place the motor pulley on the motor as shown in Figure 13. Notice the key on the motor shaft. This needs to be lined up with the keyway in the motor pulley in order to fit the pulley on the shaft.

2.Tighten the setscrew on the pulley. You will need to adjust it later, so do not overtighten.

3.Fasten the motor onto the motor mount (as shown in Figure 14) with the (4) 516"-18 x 1" hex bolts, 516"-18 hex nuts and (8) 516" wash- ers. The washers should be placed on both sides of the motor mount.

Before wiring, the rubber cover needs to fit over both cords. To do this:

1.Poke a hole through the back of the rubber cover for the cords and the ends of the cover where the mounting screws attach the switch to the stand.

2.Pull the motor and the power cord through the hole in the rubber cover.

The diagram on Figure 15 shows the proper wiring of the motor and the power cord. The ground wires mount underneath the switch with the 10-24 x 12" Phillips® screw, nut and star wash- er. Do not pinch the wires while installing. If they will not reach, carefully cut back the outer layer of the black cord. Do not cut the smaller wires inside!

After everything is wired correctly, take off the nuts that hold the switch to the stand. Slide the rubber cover over the back of the switch so no metal contacts are exposed. Push the mounting screws through the holes on the ends of the cover and thread the nuts back on the screws. Tighten them securely, but not tight enough to ruin the rubber.
