Pressurized Equipment Hazard

To reduce the risk of an injury, follow the Pressure Relief Procedure on page 24 whenever you are instructed to relieve the pressure.

Check all possible remedies in the Troubleshooting Chart before disassembling the gun.

Spray Pattern Troubleshooting

Some spray pattern problems are caused by the improper balance between air and fluid.

Fluttering or spitting spray.

No fluid.

Refill supply.

 

 

 

 

Loose, dirty, damaged nozzle/seat.

Clean or replace nozzle, page 26.

 

Air in fluid supply.

Check fluid source. Refill.

Improper spray pattern.

Damaged nozzle or air cap.

Replace, page 26.

 

Fluid buildup on air cap or nozzle.

Clean. See Operation Manual.

 

Fan air pressure too high.

Decrease.

 

Fluid too thin.

Increase viscosity.

 

Fluid pressure too low.

Increase.

 

Fan air pressure too low.

Increase.

 

Fluid too thick.

Reduce viscosity.

 

Too much fluid.

Decrease flow.

 

 

 

Streaks.

Did not apply 50% overlap.

Overlap strokes 50%.

 

 

 

 

Dirty or damaged air cap.
