Troubleshooting
Question
The toaster oven will not heat.
The toaster oven will not toast.
Moisture forms on the inside of the oven door when toasting.
An odor and smoke comes from the toaster oven.
The START/STOP Light stays on.
Some foods burn and some are not done.
The oven gets hot on the outside.
Oven turns off earlier or later than expected.
Toasting not uniform or even.
The toaster oven display reads Er1.
Answer
Check to make sure the outlet is working and the oven is plugged in. Next press BAKE and then START. The START/STOP and red LED lights should now be lit.

1.Press the TOAST button.
2.Move the rack to desired position.
3.The START/STOP Light should now be lit.
This is normal when toasting in a toaster oven. Moisture is slower to escape from
the toaster oven than from a toaster. The amount of moisture will differ among fresh bread, bagels, and frozen pastry.
Smoke and odor is normal during the first use of most heating appliances. This will not be present after the initial heating period.

Please be careful. The top and sides of oven get very hot, but this is normal.
Oven starts timing after preheat light goes out. Oven turns off at end of set time. If you do not set the time, it will default to the last time selected for the last item baked. If the unit is unplugged or power is lost, time will default to standard function defaults.
Toasting varies with different types of bread, age of the bread, and location of bread on rack or rack position.
