What Is Raclette?

Raclette (pronounced rah-kleht) is a centuries-old Swiss meal, and the name of the cheese used to make it. Traditionally prepared over a fire, the once-simple raclette meal has evolved to include more complex ingredients and the use of an electric raclette grill like this one.

Like the coziness of sitting around a fire together, grilling at the dining table with family and friends encourages relaxed conversation. With a raclette meal, there’s no running back and forth to the kitchen – everything that’s needed for the meal is put on the table within easy reach in advance.

Another benefit of raclette is that everyone can “make it their way” in their own dish with any combination of ingredients. For that reason, it’s easier to satisfy individual tastes with raclette – there’s something for every- one to enjoy!

2.Place nonstick grill grid on top of heating element. Make sure the non- stick grill grid is seated correctly on the 4 posts protruding from the base.

4.Set temperature control to highest setting. Preheat 5 to 10 minutes at the highest level before grilling.
