The 3900 must be mounted at a 5 degree, or greater, angle to the bar code in order to scan properly:
The scanner is now connected and ready to communicate with your terminal/PC. You must program the scanner for your interface before bar code data can be transmitted to your terminal/PC. If you are using the scanner as a keyboard wedge, turn to page
Plug and Play
Plug and Play bar codes provide instant scanner set up for commonly used interfaces.
Note: After you scan one of the codes, power cycle the host terminal to have the interface in effect.
The most common interface is Keyboard Wedge. The following Keyboard Wedge bar code also programs a carriage return (CR) suffix.
