66 Using VisorPhone as a Wireless Modem
Performing a wireless HotSync operation
Since your VisorPhone operates as a modem at 14. 4Kbps or 9.6Kbps, a
wireless HotSync operation takes significantly longer than performing a
HotSync operation with your cradle. There fore, we recommend performing
a wireless HotSync operation only when your cradle is not avai lable.
Tip: To increase the speed of a wireless HotSync operati on, select
Conduit Setup under Options and reduce the numbe r of
applications with which you synchronize.
1. Tap the Applications Launcher icon on the front of your handheld.
2. Tap the HotSync icon .
3. Tap the Modem Sync icon .
4. Wait for your VisorPhone to connect with the modem on the other end
and for the HotSync operation to finish.
Tip: If necessary, you can cancel the proced ure at any time by tapping the
Cancel button.
