Thethermostatconnections on the backpanelofthe Stoker Controlare .25inchmale quickconnect terminals. The matingconnectors (supplied) should be .25inchfemale quickconnector terminals. Thewireshould be no smaller than 22gauge.
Thethermostatconnectionsshouldonly beconnected across thethermostat switchinsidethe thermostatunit. This switchis the type which opens(turns off) when the set point temperature is reached, and closes (turnson) when theroom temperature fallsbelowthe temperature. (This is thetype suppliedwiththeunit.)
The AC power cord should be the last connection made. The power cord should be plugged into a 115 AC volt 60hertzwalloutlet, which has proper groundingavail- able. This 115AC volt wall outlet should also be capable of handling3ampsofcurrentbecausethis is themaximum amperagethisunitwilldraw.
Basic Theory of Operation
After thestokercontrolis properly installed, operation of the stove maybegin. Thestove operation iscontrolled from the thermostat. This means if the room temperatureis cooler than thetemperatureset on thethermostat, the stove willbeginoperation with the stokercontrolin the inactive state. Once the room temperature reachesthe thermostat set pointtemperature, thecombustionblower and coalfeeder willturn off, butthedistribution blowerwillstilloperate. At this point, thestoker controlhas taken controlof the stove's
