Thedefaultconditions for theseadjust- ments setfor 0minutes are as follows:"on time" 0,"off time" 0unit willrun constantly; "ontime"greater thanO," offtime" 0,unitwillrunconstantly;"ontime"0,"off time" greaterthan 0,unitwillcycle onandoffwiththe"off" time beingthe controllingtimer. Itis not recommended that the 0minute timebe usedon any ofthe adjustments. The 0minute time is aninvalidconditionon the stoker control.
When thestoker controlfirst takes controlin the maintenancecycle,twotimers areactivated, the"distribution blower" timerandtheunit "off"timer.
The "distributionblower"timeris an off delaytimer. This means afterthecombustion blowerandcoalfeeder turn off the distribution blower willoperate for aprogrammed period of time before turningoff. The stoker controltiming rangeforthisfunction is 0minutesto 15minutes.
The purpose of havingthe off delay timer on todistri- bution blower is toexhaustthe excess heat in the stovethat isinherentafter the combustionblower and coalfeeder turn off. For this reason, it is not recommended that a 0time settingbeused.Thiswillminimizeany possibilityofover- heatingthe stove.
Theother timer,whichbegins when the stokercontrol firsttakes control,is the "off" timer.This functionof the stoker controlis adjustable from 0minutesto 15minutes. Programmingthis timerwith avalve lets the stoker timer know how longtokeep the combustion blower and the coal feederturnedoffbetween maintenancecycles.
Once the off timerhasfinishedtimingand the room temperaturehasnotfallenbelow the thermostatsetpoint,the "on"timerfunction willbegin. The programmablerange for this function is also 0minutesto 15minutes. Once the "on" timer hasstarted,alloutput (combustionblower,distribution
