HOW TO USE THE LEARNED 1 AND LEARNED 2 PROGRAMS

1 Insert the key fully into the console.

See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 9.

2 Select the Learned 1 or Learned 2 program.

To select the Learned 1

or Learned 2 program, the SELECT PRO- GRAM indicator must be flashing. If neces- sary, hold down the

STOP button until the

SELECT PROGRAM indicator is flashing. Next, press the SELECT or button repeatedly until the LEARNED 1 or LEARNED 2 indicator is flashing. Then, press the ENTER button.

Refer to the upper right corner of the console. An “L1” or “L2” will appear in the program display. The TIME display will show how long the program will last.

3 Enter your weight if desired.

After a program is se- lected, the SELECT

WEIGHT indicator and the current weight set- ting will begin to flash.

Although it is not nec- essary to enter your

weight to use a program, the CALORIES/FAT CALORIES display will be more accurate if your weight is entered.

If you do not want to enter your weight, press the ENTER button and go to step 4. If you want to enter your weight, press the SELECT buttons. When the correct weight is shown, press the ENTER button.

4 Press the START button.

After you have entered

your weight, the PRESS

START indicator will

begin to flash. Press the

5

START button once.

After a few seconds, the

walking belt will begin to

move. Hold the handrail and begin walking.

Refer to the program display. (See the drawing at the

6

top of the next column.) Each program is divided into

one-minute segments. One speed setting and one in-

14cline setting are programmed for each segment. The

speed setting of the first seg-

ment is shown

in the CUR-

RENT SEG- MENT column. The settings of the next six

segments are shown in the

six columns to

the right. (The incline settings are not shown in the program display.)

When the first one-minute segment of the program is completed, all settings shown in the program dis- play will move one column to the left. The setting of the second segment will then be shown in the CUR- RENT SEGMENT column, and the speed of the treadmill will change accordingly. The incline will also change according to the settings that you pro- grammed previously.

The program will continue until the setting of the last segment is shown in the CURRENT SEGMENT col- umn and no time remains in the TIME display. The walking belt will then slow to a stop.

Note: If the program is too easy or too difficult, the speed or incline setting of the current segment can be adjusted with the SPEED or INCLINE buttons. Adjustments will not be stored in memory. To repro- gram the speed or incline setting of the current seg- ment, press the LEARN button. The LEARNED 1 or LEARNED 2 indicator will begin to flash. Speed and incline settings can be programmed only when the LEARNED 1 or LEARNED 2 indicator is flashing. Adjust the speed or incline setting of the current seg- ment with the SPEED or INCLINE buttons. When the segment is completed, press the LEARN button again. The new setting will then be stored in memory.

Note: To pause the program temporarily, press the STOP button once. All displays will pause and the TIME display will begin to flash. To restart the program, press the START button. To stop the program be- fore the program is completed, hold down the STOP button for two seconds. The console will then be in the same state as if the key had just been inserted.

Follow your progress with the LED displays.

See step 6 on page 10. Note: The TIME display will count down the time remaining in the program.

When you are finished exercising, stop the walk- ing belt and remove the key.

See step 7 on page 11.
