NOTES:
•Connect the DVD player directly to a TV.If the VIDEO/AUDIO cables are connected to a VCR, pictures may be distorted due
to the copy protection system.
•Be sure to turn off all components in the system before connecting another component.
•
Refer to the Instruction manuals for your TV, stereo system and any other components to be connected to the DVD
Player.
•If your TV is compatible with progressive scanning (525p/480p), connect the TV to the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks of
the DVD player, and make sure the progressive scanning mode is selected.

•The audio source on a disc in a Dolby Digital 5.1 channel surround format cannot be recorded as digital sound by an MD or
DAT deck.
•By hooking this unit up to a Multi-channel Dolby Digital decoder, you can enjoy high-quality Dolby Digital 5.1 channel sur-
round sound as heard in the movie theaters.
•If output is Dolby Digital- or DTS-encoded audio, connect to a Dolby Digital or DTS decorder, and set “DOLBY DIGITAL”or
“DTS”to “BITSTREAM”for audio output in the setup mode.
•Unless connected to a Dolby Digital or DTS decoder, set “DOLBY DIGITAL”to “PCM”or “DTS”to “OFF”for audio output in
the setup mode.Playing a DVD using incorrect settings may generate noise distortion, and may also damage the speakers.
