for general use. Other viscosities shown in the chart may be used
when the average temperature in your area is within the indicated
range.

Using nondetergent oil can shorten the engine’s service life, and
using 2-stroke oil can damage the engine.
Changing the Oil Change the oil at the recommended interval (page 60) or more
frequently under extreme operating conditions.
Drain the oil while the engine is warm to assure rapid and complete
draining.
1. Raise the engine hood.
2. Clean the area around the oil filler cap and unscrew it.
3. Near the bottom of the oil filler tube is the oil drain bolt. Position a
suitable oil collection container that can hold at least 2 US quarts
(2.2 C ) below the oil drain bolt.
4. Remove the drain bolt and allow the engine oil to drain out.
5. Once the used oil has drained, install the oil drain bolt and tighten
securely.
