Drive Belt
The drive belt should be inspected at the interval specified in the
Maintenance Schedule on page 58.

Park the lawn tractor on a flat, level surface. Set the parking
brake, remove the ignition key and disconnect the spark plug cap.
Securely block the front and rear wheels to prevent the lawn
tractor from moving. Release the parking brake lever.
Lower the mower deck all the way down with the height
adjustment lever.
Examine the drive belt for cracks, tears or other physical damage.
Replace the belt if it is damaged.
Release the parking brake lever.
Check the drive belt; make sure it is snug and routed through all
the belt guards, pulleys and the clutch tensioner arm.
Reconnect the spark plug cap.
REPLACEMENT
Replacing the drive belt requires special tools (impact & torque
wrenches) and knowledge and is best left to a servicing Honda lawn
tractor dealer. See the shop manual for details.
