This printer has several connectivity options:

USB cable

Wired Ethernet networking

Wireless 802.11b networking

Purchase a Universal Serial Bus (USB)

2.0full-speed compliant cable. Use with Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, and/or Macintosh computer systems.

macintosh installation

Follow these steps to connect to the printer with a USB cable:

1.Set up the printer hardware (see the setup poster).

2.Connect the USB cable to the printer.

3.Connect the USB cable to the computer.

4.Insert the printer software CD in the computer’s CD-ROM drive.

5.Double-click the HP inkjet printer installer icon, then follow the onscreen instructions.

The USB cable should not exceed 3 m (10 ft.) in length.

windows installation

Follow these steps to connect to the printer with a USB cable:

1.Set up the printer hardware (see the setup poster).

2.Connect the USB cable to the printer.

3.Connect the USB cable to the computer, then wait for a wizard screen to appear.

4.After the wizard screen appears, insert the printer software CD in the computer’s CD-ROM drive.

5.Follow the onscreen instructions.
