First, press the Power button on your display. Then, to turn on your computer, press the On button on the front of the PC.

Turning Off Your Computer

There is only one way to turn off your computer correctly. To turn off the computer:

1Exit all software programs. (To close programs, click X in the upper right corner of each window.)

2Click Start on the taskbar.3Click Shut Down (last item on the menu).4In the dialog box, make sure Shut down is selected.5Click Yes.6Turn off your display.

Caution: Pressing the computer’s On button when software is running could corrupt your files.
