1.Turn the top cover upside down, with the rear panel toward you.

2.Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (1) that secure the function board to the top cover.

3.Release the function board cable (2) from the opening in the top cover (3).

4.Remove the function board and cable (4).

Reverse this procedure to install the function board and cable.

Power connector cable

NOTE: The power connector cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 639473-001.

Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:

1.Shut down the computer.

2.Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

3.Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

4.Remove the battery (see Battery on page 33), and then remove the following components:

a.Service cover (see Solid-state module on page 34)

b.Solid-state module (see Solid-state module on page 34)
