There are four FBWC (flash backed write cache) modules, one for each Smart Array Controller. Each FBWC has a capacitor pack to ensure cache contents are maintained after a loss of power. Each P812 controller has an integral capacitor pack, whilst the P410i controller’s capacitor pack is located in the holder in the centre of the HP D2D4324 Backup System. Each FBWC module has two single-color LEDs (green and amber). The LEDs are duplicated on the reverse side of the cache module to facilitate status viewing. See the HP Smart Array Controllers for HP ProLiant Servers User Guide for more information.
