1En el menú en pantalla (OSD) principal seleccione Parental (Control de padres) y pulse el botón OK (Aceptar). (Si se ha establecido una contraseña anteriormente, introdúzcala cuando se le pida.)

2Seleccione Cambiar contraseña y luego pulse OK (Aceptar).

3Introduzca un número de contraseña (nueva) de cuatro dígitos mediante los botones 0–9 del mando a distancia. Introduzca los mismos dígitos en Confirmar contraseña y, a continuación, pulse OK.

Como medida de precaución, anote su contraseña y guárdela en un lugar seguro.

En el menú Parental (Control) (Control de padres) seleccione Habilitar, pulse OK (Aceptar), seleccione On (Encendido) y pulse OK (Aceptar). Ahora podrá acceder a los demás menús y configurar los controles para padres. Consulte “Ajuste del Control de padres“ en la página 35.

Ajuste del Control de padres

El control parental utiliza un V-Chip, que es un dispositivo de filtrado electrónico incorporado en su televisor. Esta herramienta proporciona a los padres un alto nivel de control sobre las emisiones a las que pueden acceder sus hijos. Permite a los padres decidir qué programas son adecuados para ser vistos por niños, a la vez que bloquea los que consideran que no son aptos. Esto se realiza automáticamente al seleccionar una contraseña y establecer los valores del control parental.

EE.UU. tiene dos sistemas de calificación para visualizar el contenido: Directrices de control paterno de la televisión (calificación televisiva de Estados Unidos) y calificaciones de películas:

■Las Directrices de control paterno de la televisión ayudan a filtrar los programas que no son aptos para niños.

■Las calificaciones de películas se utilizan para las películas originales calificadas por la Asociación Cinematográfica de América (MPAA - Motion Picture Association of America) para transmitirse por televisión por cable y que no han sido editadas para su emisión por televisión. También se pueden ajustar las opciones para bloquear las películas calificadas por la MPAA.
