ODBC Translator

Select “Roman8 to PC-ANSI Translator” if you want extended characters on your HP3000 (such as foreign accented characters) to appear correctly on your Client PC. The translation goes both ways. For example; extended characters are entered on the Client PC and sent to the host in an SQL update or Insert operation will be translated.

Note: Roman9 to PC-ANSI Translator will recognize the symbol for

the European Currency Symbol, known as the EURO.

Successful Completion

The new data source is now ready for use in your client application.

Some applications may allow you to go directly to the "Data Sources" menu without going to Control Panel to click on the ODBC Administrator. Check you client application documentation for details.
