Power Indicators

The following battery levels may be displayed on the status screen, in Live View, in Playback, and when the camera is connected to a computer or printer.

Icon Description

Battery has more than 70 percent energy remaining.

Battery has 30 to 70 percent energy remaining.

Battery has 10 to 30 percent energy remaining.

Battery level is low. Camera will power down soon. Live View is disabled.

Battery is depleted. Camera will proceed to power Blinking down.

Camera is operating on AC power (with a non- rechargeable battery or no battery installed).

Animated Camera is operating on AC power and is charging battery the battery.

Camera has successfully completed battery charging and is operating on AC power.

When using the disposable Duracell® CP1 battery, you may get more shots after the battery level reaches low than you get with the rechargeable Lithium Ion battery.

The battery gauge is most accurate after a few minutes of use. When the camera is turned off, the battery recovers and the initial gauge reading when the camera is turned on again may not be as accurate as that obtained after a few minutes of use.
