Password:In the Password page, you can set, modify, or delete
the password(s) for your computer.
The Password page displays the following items:
Power-On Password.
The Power-On Password prevents unau-
thorized access to your computer at startup and when the com-
puter resumes from hibernation mode.
Setup Password.
The Setup Password prevents unauthorized
access to the BIOS Utility and Notebook Manager.

Note: The hard disk password can only be set using the BIOS Setup
Utility. See “Using passwords” on page 74 for instructions on
how to set passwords.
