2-1 SITE PLANNING AND PREPARATION
The Fire Alarm Back-up UPS1 481 is designed for installation ind oors and meets NEMA
specifications for operating te mperature, humidity, and uti lit y voltage. These cabinets are
corrosion resistant and rugg ed. The footprint of the Fire Alar m Bac k - up UPS1481 is less than 6
square feet. Listed below are th e environmental specifications f or t h e Fire Alarm Back-up
UPS1481.
Adequate clearance in the front of t he equipment should be provid ed for service access.

Operating the Fire Alarm Bac k -u p UPS1481 and batteries at eit he r ex t reme of the temperature
range may affect the long-ter m reliability of the system. This is especially true of the sealed,
maintenance-free batteries. Sealed, maintenance-free b at teries are designed to operate at
normal room temperatures (7 2 to 77°F).

Provide a storage environm ent which meets the following condit i ons:

• RELATIVE HUMIDITY 0% to 95% non-condens ing
