During long-term storage, the b atteries are subject to aging and d eterioration. If after visual
inspection, the batteries nee d to be replaced contact your OnL in e Power dealer or the OnLine
Power factory directly to obtai n new batteries.
The UPS is stored in its original pac k a ging, unpack UPS using unpack in g procedures outlined in
Section 2-3-1.
If the UPS is not connected to a sourc e of power, first connect the UP S t o an appropriate source
of power using the procedures in Section 2-4, Electrical Connect i ons.
When the UPS is unpacked an d first connected to an AC power sou rce, recharge batteries as
follows:
1. U nloc k a nd remove the front panel by pus hing it up and out, pull both the si de p anel up and
out.
2. Vis u ally inspect batteries for signs of d eterioration and leakage. Repl ace batteries if
required.
3. Set AC power source to ON.
4. Cl os e i nput CB, if provided (CB2)
5. Cl os e b attery CB, if provided (CB1)
6. Th e UPS automatically recharges bat t e ries. The LCD panel will indicat e t h e battery voltage
and charging current.
7. Allo w UPS to run for 24 hours to fully cha rge batteries.
When batteries h ave reached partial charge, t he b attery charging current will be
under 1 Amps on LCD panel.
8. Tu rn OFF input power to the UPS.
9. Cl os e a nd replace all the panels back.
