Chapter 14 - Maintenance

14.4 Touch screen calibration

If the touch screen does not respond accurately to your taps you need to recalibrate the
screen. To do this follow these steps:
1. In the viewfinder menu, go to the
SYSTEM/PIN CODE/ENTER PIN
menu and enter “0000”
to set the user level to service level 1.
2. In the side panel menu, go to the SYSTEM/SIDEPANEL menu.
3. Tap the
CALIBRATION
button to start the touch screen calibration procedure.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Note
When the touch screen cannot be used due to misalignment, push and hold the Home push
button on the side panel display for five seconds. The calibration settings will be reset to
their factory defaults. After resetting, perform the touch screen calibration procedure.

14.5 Cleaning the touch screen

Note
Always turn off the camcorder before cleaning the touch screen.
Use a soft and dry cloth (preferably microfiber tissue) to clean the surface of the touch screen.
Wipe gently and do not apply strong pressure as this may damage the screen.
