Warning for 1000SX Advanced

This product contains fiber-optic ports. For optical safety, never look di- rectly at, or use optical instruments on, the fiber TX laser port and fiber cable ends when they are powered-up. The module’s optical ports must be terminated either with an optical connector or a dust plug.

Installing the module

Follow these instructions to install a 1000SX Advanced Module in your Intel® Express 500 Series Switch:

Warning This module is not designed to be installed in, or removed from, the switch while it is in operation. You must turn off the switch before installing or removing the module. Failure to do this may result in the module not being able to communicate with the switch.
