The top part of the Star Pilot StatusScreenshowsyou the Software version of the control Unit, theAntenna/ReceiverUnit and the GpS Mode currentlybeingused,followed by the GpS Hearthmessage.

The GPSHealthmessagegivesinfbrmationregardingrheAntenna/ Receiver'scurrentstatusin its effort to get signalsfrom the satellites.

The centerpart of the displayprovidesthe time of the rastposition fix.

Next arethe valuesfor PDOP,HDOP and VDOp. Theseare mathematicalvaluesfrom computingthegeometryof thesatellites beingusedto calculateyour currentposition.

PDOP standsfor PositionDilutionof precision.

The lowertherating

thebetteryour positionfix. Above l2 is not usable.A pDop of 1-3is excellent,4 -good,76 - 9acceptable,l0 - 12marginaland. l2+ unacceptable.

HDOP standsfor HorizontalDilutionof precision.

It indicatesthe

accuracyof latitudeand longitudecoordinates.

vDoP standsfor vertical Dilutionof PrecisionIt. indicatesthe accuracyof altitudedata(imporranrfbr 3D fix only).
