SECTION 11—TRANSPORTING

WARNING

After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure that all attaching hardware is tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage may result.

Before performing any maintenance, adjustment or service, turn power off and remove key from ignition.

DO NOT lift the scooter by the rear shroud - otherwise damage to the scooter may occur.

Transporting the Scooter

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 11.1.

Disassembling

1.Turn power off and remove the key from the ignition.

2.Ensure that the brake release lever is engaged. Refer to Engaging/Disengaging the Brake Release Lever on page 27.

3.Remove the seat. Refer to Removing/Installing the Deluxe Seat on page 31 or Removing/Installing/Adjusting the Padded Seat on page 29.

4.Remove the battery box. Refer to Removing/Installing the Battery Box on page 41.

5.Flip up the frame lock pin located on under the flap on the floor mat (not shown).

6.Hold the frame post in one hand and the tiller in the other hand and pull apart the rear and front frame assemblies.

7.Fold tiller down to lowest locked position. Refer to Adjusting the Tiller Angle on page 35.

Assembling

WARNING

BEFORE use, ensure that the frame lock pin is in the LOCKED (horizontal) position securing the front and rear frame assemblies together. Otherwise injury and/or damage may occur.

1.Unfold tiller. Refer to Adjusting the Tiller Angle on page 35.

2.Flip up the frame lock pin.

3.Hold the tiller in one hand and the front frame assembly in the other hand and align the front frame assembly with the alignment pins on the rear frame assembly.
