Getting Started

Before you start taking digital pictures with your camera, insert the (AA-size Alkaline) batteries. When you use your camera as a video camera for your PC, you won’t need batteries. The camera absorbs power from your computer through the USB port.

Inserting Batteries

1. On the bottom of the camera, slide the battery door in the direction indicated by the arrow to open it.

2.Insert two (2) AA-size batteries as indicated

on the inner side of the battery door.

3.Close the battery door and turn on the camera.

If you are using new batteries with your camera, the Battery Power icon on the LCD panel will be fully shaded.

After using the camera for some time and the battery power becomes low, only the lower portion of the Battery Power icon will appear shaded. This indicates that the batteries are weak and need to be replaced.

Note

Insert the batteries in the correct positive and negative polarities.

Remove the batteries if the camera is not used for an extended period of time to prevent leaks or corrosion.

Never use manganese batteries.

Never mix old and new batteries.

Low temperatures (under 0°C or 32°F) reduce the output efficiency of batteries, thereby shortening the operation time of the camera.

The recommended battery is AA size alkaline battery.

When discarding the batteries, cover the positive and negative terminals with adhesive tapes.
