VIDEO Plus+ Setup

IMPORTANT

Normally, Auto Set Up (☞ pg. 8), Preset Download (☞ pg. 9) or Auto Channel Set (☞ pg. 46) sets the Guide Program Numbers automatically. You need to set the Guide Program Numbers manually only in the following cases.

●When timer-programming with the VIDEO Plus+ system, the preset position, where the station you wish to record is received on your recorder, is not selected or when you add a channel after Auto Set Up or Auto Channel Set has taken place.

— Set the Guide Program Number for that station manually.

●When you wish to timer-record a satellite programme with the VIDEO Plus+ system.

— Set the Guide Program Numbers for all satellite broadcasts received on your satellite receiver.

Turn on the TV and select the VIDEO channel (or AV mode).

Guide Program Number Set

	ACCESS MAIN MENU
1	SCREEN
	Press MENU.
	ACCESS INITIAL SET
2	SCREEN
	Press %Þ to move the highlight bar (pointer) to
	"INITIAL SET", then press OK or #.
	ACCESS GUIDE PROG SET
3	SCREEN
	Press %Þ to move the highlight bar (pointer) to "GUIDE
	PROG SET", then press OK or #.
	ENTER GUIDE PROG
4	NUMBER
	Press %Þto enter the			GUIDE PROG SET
	Guide Program number for
	the desired station as shown
	in the TV listings. Then		GUIDE PROG		TV PROG
	press OK or #.
				4	5
		[5°] =		[0] : SAT
			[MENU] : EXIT
		(Ex.) When inputting the
				Guide Program
				number 4 for CH4.

ENTER RECEIVING PRESET POSITION NUMBER

5	Press the NUMBER key "0"			GUIDE PROG SET
	to select "TV PROG" or
	"SAT". Then press %Þ to
	input the number of the		GUIDE PROG		TV PROG
	preset position on which
				4	4
	the Guide Program
					CH4
	number's broadcast is
	received by the recorder or
			[5°] =		[0] : SAT
	the satellite receiver. Then		[MENU] : EXIT
	press OK or #.	(Ex.) If CH4 is received on
				preset position 4.
	● To timer-record a
	satellite programme with
	VIDEO Plus+, you need
	to install the provided Satellite Controller and
	perform the procedure described in "Satellite
	Receiver Control Setting" (☞ pg. 12).
	● Repeat steps 4 and 5 as necessary.

6 Press MENU.

Guide Program Number

"Guide Program (GUIDE PROG) number" refers to the assigned TV station numbers, according to broadcast area, for the VIDEO Plus+ timer recording. The Guide Program numbers can be found in most TV listings.
