satellite receiver users To timer-record a satellite broadcast using Express Timer Programming:

•Perform ‘Satellite Receiver Control Setting’ (☞ pg. 45).

•Press AUX (number key 0) to change TV PROG to SAT. Then press PR +/– to enter the preset position for the satellite receiver.

•You cannot set PDC to ON.

•You cannot timer-record the satellite broadcast received on the channel position ‘0’ by the satellite receiver.

•Leave the satellite receiver’s power on.

Return to Normal Screen

Press por 3 OK / . PROGRAM COMPLETED appears on the TV screen for

about 5 seconds, then the normal TV screen appears. If the timer programme is overlapped with another one that was already set, PROGRAM OVERLAPPED

appears on the TV screen and Err appears on the display panel.(☞ pg. 30)

Engage Timer Mode

You must now put the VCR into Timer Mode by pressing cotherwise no recording will take place. Make sure that the VCR turns off automatically and c will appear on the display panel. To disengage the Timer Mode, press cagain.

If a video tape with the safety tab removed is loaded, c, Play indicator (,) and Record indicator (U) will flash. Insert another tape with the safety tab in place to record!

If no video tape is loaded, cindicator will flash. Insert a tape to record!

If the tape reaches its end during timer recording, the recording stops and “c”, “U” and “,” on the display panel blink. Press cto disengage timer, then press S/0on the VCR to eject the tape or press othen press <to rewind the tape.

	If you have set the VCR to Timer Record a
	programme and have not engaged the Timer
-WARNING-P1--	Mode, you will see this warning appear on your
	screen five minutes before the appointed start
TIMER RECORDING
TO START SOON	time. To clear the display, press x.

warning If the VCR is being used as the player for tape-to-tape dubbing, this warning screen will be recorded by the other VCR.
