G-CODE®/SHOWVIEWTM

Timer Programming

With the G-CODE®/SHOWVIEWTMsystem, timer programming is greatly simplified because each TV programme has a corresponding code number which your unit is able to recognize.

INFORMATION

G-CODEand SHOWVIEW are different trademarks used to represent the same easy recording feature, but only the term G-CODEsystem will be used in the instructions. If you use the SHOWVIEW system, follow the same instructions listed for the G-CODEsystem.

Before performing the G-CODE®/SHOWVIEWTMTimer Programming:Be sure to read “G-CODE®/SHOWVIEWTMSystem Setup” (pg. 26)Make sure that the unit’s built-in clock is set properly.

Insert a cassette with the safety tab in place. The unit will come on automatically.

Turn on the TV and select the video channel (or AV mode).

Slide the TV/VCR/DVD switch on the remote control to the right.

Select the appropriate color system with “PAL/MESECAM” and “NTSC.” ( pg. 54)

A Select the VHS deck.

On the unit

Press VCR/DVD repeatedly so that the VCR indicator lights up.

On the remote control

Press VCR so that the VCR indicator lights up.

B Access the G-CODE/SHOWVIEWscreen.Press PROG.

G-CODE/SHOWVIEW SYSTEM

C Enter the G-CODEnumber.

Press the number keys to enter the G-CODEnumber of a programme you wish to record.

If you make a mistake, press &and input the correct number.

G-CODE/SHOWVIEW SYSTEM

D Access the G-CODEProgram screen.

Press ENTER, then the G-CODEProgram screen appears (if you’re just starting out, “P1” appears).

IMPORTANT

Make sure the channel position number you wish to record is displayed; if not, see “G-CODE®/SHOWVIEWTMSystem Setup” on page 26 and set the Guide Program number correctly.

If the number you entered is invalid, “ERROR” appears on the TV screen. Press & and input a valid G-CODEnumber.
