1Press BAND MODE (M) while playing a CD. “MODE” appears on the display.

2Press INT (intro scan), while “MODE” is still on the display. Each time you press the button, track intro scan mode turns on and off alternately.

display.

When track intro scan mode is turned on, the INT indicator lights up on the display.

Each time you press the button, the display

changes as follows:

Prohibiting disc ejection

You can prohibit disc ejection and can lock a disc in the loading slot.

While pressing SOURCE ATT, press and hold OFF 0for more than 2 seconds. “NO EJECT” flashes on the display for about 5 seconds, and the disc is locked and cannot be ejected.

Note:

If you press OFF 0while disc ejection is prohibited, the control panel moves down, but the disc cannot be ejected. (“NO EJECT” appears on the display.)

To cancel the prohibition and unlock the disc,

press and hold OFF 0for more than 2 seconds again, while pressing SOURCE ATT. “EJECT OK” flashes on the display for about 5 seconds, and the disc is unlocked.

•The display shows up to 10 characters at one time and scrolls if there are more than 10 characters. See also “To select the scroll mode—SCROLL” on page 33.

•When you press DISP (D) while playing a conventional CD, “NO NAME” appears for the disc title/performer and the track title.
