MONITOR TYPE

You can select a monitor type when you playback DVD discs recorded for wide screen televisions.

If your television has a normal (4:3) screen, select “4:3 PS ” (cuts both sides of the “wide” picture) or “4:3 LB ” (with masking bars to maintain the “wide” aspect ratio).

If your television has a wide (16:9) screen, you have to select “16:9 WIDE”.

AV COMPULINK MODE

If you use the AV Compulink system, you must set this item correctly.

Select from the three options: DVD1, DVD2 and DVD3 according to the equipment to be connected.

See “AV Compulink remote control system” on pages 62.

DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT

To connect the player‘s digital output with an external amplifier or receiver equipped with a digital input, this item must be set correctly.

PCM ONLY: to connect to a PCM digital input of a piece of audio equipment.

PCM/AC-3: to connect to a Dolby digital input of a Dolby Digital decoder or an amplifier with built-in Dolby Digital decoder.
