Operating a TV using the remote control
You can operate your TV using the remote control.
• Refer also to the instruction manuals supplied with your TV.
7Setting the transmittable signal for your
TV
You can operate a JVC TV without setting the remote control signal setting.

Set the remote control mode selector to “DVD.”
1Set the remote control mode selector to “DVD.”
2Press and hold TV

• Keep it pressed up to step 5.
3Press TV CONTROL.
4Press the number buttons (1-9, 0) to enter a
manufacturer’s code (2 digit).
See the list below to find the codes.
Ex: For a Sanyo TV, press 0, then 5.
For a Toshiba TV, press 2, then 9.
5Release TV

6Try to operate your TV by pressing TV 
.
When your TV turns on or off, you have entered the correct code.
If more than one code is listed for your brand of TV, try each one until you enter the correct one.
After setting transmittable signals, you can use the following buttons for the TV operations.
TV | :Turns the TV on and off. |
TV VOL +/– | :Adjusts the volume. |
TV/VIDEO | :Selects the input mode (either TV or VIDEO). |

Manufacturers’ codes for TV
After pressing TV CONTROL:
CHANNEL +/– | :Changes the channels. |
| :Selects the channel. |
| Ex.: |
| • For channel number 3, press 3. |
| • For channel number 24, press +10, |
| +10, then 4. |
| • For channel number 123, press 100+, |
| +10, +10 then 3. |
