DVD player operations

This section explains advanced operations of the built-in DVD player using the remote control. For MP3 playback, see pages 50 and 51, and for JPEG playback, see pages 52 and 53.

Before using the remote control, press DVD to change the remote control operation mode.

Turn on your TV and select the correct input mode on the TV.

Using the on-screen barShowing the on-screen bar7 Whenever a disc is loadedPress ON SCREEN. shows which types of disc are supported for the operations explained in each section. Unavailable disc types are shown in half-tone color.

DVD-VIDEO 8.5Mbps If “ Manual background ” appears on the TV when you press a button, the disc cannot accept an operation you have tried to do, or data required for that operation is not recorded on the disc.

Using the on-screen bar

You can check the information on a disc while the disc is loaded, and you can use some functions through the on-screen bar.
