Adjusting sound
Once you have adjusted the sound, the adjustment is stored for each source.
•You can also adjust the sound using the choice menu except the DSP effect level (see page 59).
Before you start, remember...
There is a time limit in doing the following steps. If the setting is
canceled before you finish, start from step 2 again.
From the remote control ONLY:
3Adjust the speaker output levels (–10 dB to +10 dB).
Adjust the center speaker, right and left surround speakers, and surround back speaker levels by comparing to the sound from the front speakers.

Set the remote control mode selector to “DVD.”
4Press TEST again to stop the test tone.
5For DAP modes only:
Press EFFECT to select the effect level (1 to 5).
Each time you press the button, the effect level changes as follows:

1Press SOUND.
The 10 keys are activated for sound adjustments.
2Press TEST to check if you can hear the sounds through the speakers at the equal level.
“TEST TONE L” and the corresponding signal indicator starts flashing on the display, and the test tone comes out of the speakers in the following order:
•You can adjust the speaker output levels without outputting the test tone.

As the number increases, the selected mode becomes stronger (normally, set it to “DSP EFFECT 3”).
NOTES: |
•When “NO” is selected for the surround back speaker (see page 28), the test tone does not come out of the surround back speaker and you cannot adjust the surround back speaker’s output level.
•The test tone for the subwoofer does not output. To adjust the subwoofer output level, see page 18.
