To Drop or Raise the Feed Dogs
The drop feed dogs lever is located underneath the free arm bed on the back side of the machine.

Drop the feed dogs. Center the hole in the fabric on an |
|
|
|
|
|
| ||||
embroidery hoop, as shown. |

|
|
|
|
|
|
| ||
Lower the presser foot F and sew at a slow speed. |
|
|
|
|
|
| ||||
Move the fabric back and forth slowly until the darning area |
|
|
|
|
|
| ||||
is covered. Turn the fabric 1/4 turn (90°), and sew another |
|
|
|
|
|
| ||||
layer of stitching over the first layer. After darning is |
|
|
|
|
|
| ||||
completed, return the pressure adjusting lever to 3 for |
|
|
|
|
|
| ||||
normal sewing. |

If the fabric is thin or badly damaged, use a separate |

piece of fabric under the hole to reinforce it. |
