Thefollowing sounds may be heard whilethe washeris
operating.They arenormal.
Clicking:
Doorlock relaywhen the door locks and unlocks.
Sprayingor hissing:
Waterspraying or circulating during the cycle.
Hummingor gurgling:
Drainpump pumping water from the washer at the end of a
cycle.
Splashing:
Clothestumbling in the drumduring the wash and rinse cycles.
BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE
Yourwashing machineis equipped withan automatic error-monitoring systemto detectand diagnose problemsat an early stage. If
yourwasher does not function properlyor does notfunction at all, check the following before you call for service.
Rattling and clanking noise
Check if... Then...

Iindrum orpump. I noise continues after washer is restarted,call for service.
Thumping sound
Checkif... Then...
Heavywash loads may produce a thumping sound. This is normal. Ifsound continues, washer is probablyout of
balance. Stop and redistribute wash load.
Washer loadmay beout of balance. Pausethe cycle and redistributethe load after the door unlocks.
Washing shoes or tightly tangledclothes.
Vibrating noise
Check if... Then...
Shipping boltsand/or packaging materials not removed. See Unpackingand Removing Shipping Bolts inthe Installation

Wash load may be unevenly distributed inthe drum. Pausethe cycle and redistributethe loadafter the door unlocks.
Notall levelingfeet are restingfirmly and evenly on the See Levelingthe Washerin the Installation Instructions on page 11.

Water leaking around washer
Checkif... Then...
Fill hoseconnection is loose at tap or washer. Checkhoses. Check and tighten hose connections.
Housedrain pipes are clogged. Unclogdrain pipe.Contact aplumber if necessary.
Drainhose has come out of drain. Tiedrain hoseto inlethose or standpipe to prevent it from coming
Drainhose isnot inserted far enough, outduring drain. Itshould beinserted about 8-12inches into the
standpipe.
Excessive sudsing
Checkif...
I Too much detergent or incorrect detergent.
Onlyuse detergentwith the liE (High-Efficiency)logo.
