I hewasherautomatically adjusts the wash time for the
amount oflaundry, water pressure, water heatingtime and
otheroperating conditions.
Thewasher door has a safety feature to preventburns.
Forexample, if the washer ispaused during the hot wash portion of
a SANITIZEcycle, the interior temperature of the drum wilt be very
hot,so the door will not unlock. This isnormal. Allow the washer to
cootuntil the DOOR LOCK indicator turns OFF on the display.
Todrain the water,cycle the POWER OFF/ON, thenpress the SPIN
SPEEDbutton without selecting acycle.
This is normal.The washer adjustscycle time automatically to
provideoptimal resultsfor the selected cycle. The time remaining
shown in the display is only anestimate. Actual time mayvary.
Musty or mildewy odor in washer

Insideof tub not cleaned properly.

Useonly HE(High-Efficiency) detergent in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions.
Runthe CLEAN WASHER cycle regularly. Be sure to wipe around
andunder the door seat frequently. SeeCare and Cleaning of the
Interiorin Care and Cleaning on page 22.
Cleanaround door seat/glassto prevent odor or mildew:
1.Wipe dry the door seal/glass and the door opening area.
2.Wipe around the innerdrum/door seal and the lower door seal.
3.For difficult-to-remove odors, use Affresh available atyour local
Searsstore or onlineat www.partsdirect.com.

Washer not unloadedpromptly. Alwaysremove itemsfrom the washer as soon as the cycle is
complete.
Washer overloaded. Thewasher can befully loaded but the drum should not be tightly
packed,and the door shouldclose easily.
Hotand cold water inlet hoses are reversed. Hotwater rinse can set wrinkles ingarments. Check the inlet hose
connections.
