REGULAR CLEANING

Cleaning the Exterior

Propercare of your washer canextend its life. The outside of
themachine can becleaned with warm water and a mild, non-
abrasive householddetergent.
Immediatelywipe off any spills with a soft, damp cloth.
IMPORTANT: Do not use methytated spirits, solvents, or
similar products. Never use steel wool or abrasive cleaners
becausethey can damage the surface.

Care and Cleaning of the Interior

Use a towel or soft cloth to wipe aroundthe washer door
opening,door seat, and door glass. These areas should be
keptclean to ensure a watertight seat. Be sure to wipe under
theinside rubber seat to removeany moisture or soil.
Alwaysremove itemsfrom the washer as soon as the cycle is
completed. Leavingdamp itemsin the washer can cause
wrinkling,color transfer, andodor.
Runthe CLEAN WASHER cycle once a month, or more often if
needed,to remove detergent buildup and other residue.
Read these instructions carefully before beginning the
CLEAN WASHER cycle.
O Open thedoor and removeany clothing the washdrum.

O Add liquidchlorine bleachor tubcleaner.
Somepowderor tablettub cleanerswhich are manufacturedfor
thispurposecan be used.
(NOTE:Do not add any laundrydetergentor fabricsoftener to
thedrawerwhen usingCLEAN WASHER.)
- Ifusingliquid chlorine bleach
Addliquidchlorinebleach to the bleachcompartmentofthe
drawer.(NOTE: Do notexceed the maximumfill line and do
notpourundilutedliquid bleachdirectlyintothe wash drum.)
- If using powder cleaner
Removetheliquiddetergentcup and addpowder cleanerto
themain washcompartmentof the drawer.
- If using tablet cleaner
Addtabletcleanerto the wash drum directly.
(NOTE:Do not add tablet cleanerto the drawer.)
O Ctosethedrawer andwasherdoor.
O Setect WASHERandpress START.
CLEAN
NOTE:It is recommendedthat CLEANWASHER shouldbe
repeatedmonthly.Ifmildew or mustysmellalready exists,run
CLEANWASHERfor 3 consecutiveweeks.After CLEAN WASHER
iscompleteor when the washer is not used, leavethe washer door
openfor betterventilationanddrying insideofthe washer.

Door Seal and Glass Cleaning

Dueto the location and nature of the door seat, some detergent
andsoil residuemay build up on the door glass and seat.
Periodiccleaning with a bleach solution can help remove
buildup and stains and can help sanitize the seal to prevent
odors. 21
NOTE:Wear rubber gloves and eye protection while performing
thefollowing procedure:
O Ditute3/4 77 chlorinebleach with 1
cup (1 ml) liquid gallon
(3.8L) of warm/hot water.
QUsethis solution to wipe down all
surfaces of the gasket and glass
gasketto removeany deposits
leftthere. (The gasket is stiff. Be
sure to fold back the lip of the
gasketto getunder the edge
where residue can build up.)
O Wipe the gasket and glass with a dry cloth.
O Leavethe door opento allow the gasketto dry completely.
NOTE:
•Follow the manufacturer'sinstructions for proper use of bleach.
•Do not use undiluted bleach as this wilt damage the gasket.

Removing Mineral Buildup

Ifyou live in an area with hard water, limescale can form on
internalcomponents of the washer. Use of awater softener is
recommendedin areas with hard water.
Usea descater, such as Washer Magic®,and run the CLEAN
WASHERcycle beforewashing clothing.
DoNOT use steel wool or abrasive cleaners; they can damage
thesurface.

Storing the Washer

Ifthe washer wilt notbe used for an extended period of time and
is in an area that could be exposed to freezing temperatures:
O Turn OFF watersupplytap.
_ Disconnecthosesfrom watersupply anddrain waterfrom hoses.
O Ptugthe cordinto electricaloutlet.

O Add 1 gallon of nontoxicrecreationalvehicle(RV)antifreezeto
theempty washdrum. Closedoor.
O Setectthe andletwasher for1 minuteto drain outspincycle spin
allthewater.
NOTE:Notall of the RV antifreezewillbe expelled.
Unplugthepowercord, dry the drum interiorwitha soft cloth, and
closethedoor.

Storethewasher in an uprightposition.
Toremove theantifreezefrom thewasher afterstorage,run
washerthrougha completecycle using a small amountof
