This function allows to record sound continuously from deck A to B.

Since this unit is not designed for recording with metal (TYPE Relay recording ) tapes, do not use metal tapes for recording.

Preparation

Make “Playback (recording) preparation”.

in both decks A and B. Select the record-

 

ing mode to set to "O" or "[" only.)

Relay recording

1Set the relay recording mode.

"RELAY" lights up.

RELAY REC

2Perform auto-bias adjustment. (The bias adjustment is applied to deck B.)

“AUTO BIAS”blinks. After approximately “AUTO BIAS” lightsup. 40 seconds3Adjust the recording level.

3Adjust the recording level.

1Play the music source.

2Set the record-pause mode. (deck A).

3Adjust the recording balance and record-

ing level.

4Stop playing the music source.

ÖThe optimum bias is set in about 40 seconds, after which the deck enters the stop mode.

ÖRecording is possible even if the auto-bias adjustment operation is omitted.

4Start recording.

1Press the REC/ARM (¦) key (of deck A).

2Play the music source from the begin- ning.

ÖRecording will start.

ÖRecording on deck B starts immediately after recording on deck A has completed.

To cancel relay recording

"RELAY" goes off.

RELAY REC

ÖPress the RELAY REC key again.

Note

Relay recording cannot be performed if the REV.MODE key is set to “Ó”.
