Using Macros

Once you have defined macros, you can use them directly from the basic menus (HOME1, HOME2) for one-touch operation of several devices.

The KRF-X9995D has “Perfect Macro” capability. This senses if video devices connected via the composite jacks, or video monitors with an optional power sensing device attached are on or off, and will ensure that the macro works properly.

Perfect Macro is available only with devices connected to the composite video jacks.

For example, you create a Video On macro where PowerTouch turns the receiver and all of your video devices on. If your TV is already on when you run the macro, Perfect Macro will keep it on.

To turn the device power ON or OFF with the macro function, it is required that the receiver is turned ON. For example, if a macro attempts to turn the receiver OFF then turn a device OFF, the device cannot be turned OFF by executing such a macro.

For more information about using a TV power sensing device, see Chapter Four of the Connections and Setup Guide.

There are two ways to use the macros you defined:

from the Macro Summary menu, which displays all the available macros

from the More screen for each device, which displays the macros as- sociated with that device
