Helpful hints for broiling

Convection and Combination Cooking

Helpful hints for broiling

Foods that are suitable for broiling should be tender, moderately lean, and less than 2 inches thick. Fish steaks, chicken breasts, and hamburgers are ideal for broiling.

Always use the Broiling Rack with the Drip Pan underneath.

For even browning, turn food over halfway through broiling.

Do not leave the door open for long periods of time when using the broil element. This will cause the oven temperature to drop and could affect cooking performance.

Auto convection cooking

You can automatically cook a wide selection of foods just by touching one of the 6 Auto Convection pads: Meat, Poultry, Fish, Baked Goods, Specialty Foods, Other Foods.

See the “Auto Convection Chart” section and follow the directions.

On Auto Convection recipes for baked goods, snack foods, other foods, and specific frozen foods, simply select the food category and touch START.

Auto Convection recipes for cooking meats, poultry, and fresh fish will prompt you to enter the quantity to provide the best cooking results.

You can select how done you would like your meats cooked (Rare, Med-Rare, Medium, Med-Well, Well) by touching the Number pads. The recipes will cook to Medium if you do not adjust the doneness.

You may adjust the recommended time and temper- ature of the Auto Convection recipes during cooking if you desire by touching the Number pads. Then touch START.
